The 2019 Novel Coronavirus , or 2019-nCov , is a new type of virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. It’s named “ novel ” because the said strain of the virus has not been previously identified. Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that causes illness ranging from the common cold to more acute respiratory diseases. COVID-19 has not been previously identified in humans. Current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 include acute onset fever, cough, tiredness and difficulty in breathing (in severe cases).
