How are we Contributing well for society through Education
To get success ahead in life, a good education is very necessary. It
helps to build the personality of a person and develops confidence. In India, the whole
education has been divided mainly into two divisions the school education, and college
education which may further exceed to more higher education. School education
prepares the base which helps throughout life and also prepares the path for further
study. College education prepares the ultimate path of the future and whole life. Type of
education we are getting decides which type of person we would in the future. The
importance of college education has become increasingly in getting good job and
position. By increasing our knowledge level makes us strong not only mentally but
socially also and this intellectually technical skill helps in getting a good position in the
job.
Although education helps students to develop the skills they need to best take action in
the world. But as a teacher, I think In doing this, we must also consider what is most
beneficial for our society in addition to considering respectful of the wishes of our
students and communities. As per my view if we are providing a good education with
moral values that we are directly helping society through education. Good education
makes us good citizen by teaching us how to conduct ourselves through life by giving us
a sense of conscience and following rules and regulations. All these things make a
student a good citizen to make a better society. Further, we can contribute to society
through the following ways:-
1. Education spreads awareness: Education helps us question, gives us an analytical
mind and helps us reject superstitions. An educated mind asks for logic and scientific
reasoning behind all actions. Education helps lower crime rate. That’s because an
educated person can easily differentiate between right and wrong things.
2. Gives a healthier lifestyle: Better educated people tend to live longer and have better
lifestyles.
3. Helps us to be more productive: It is a fact well known that the more education gives
higher economic performance. There is a strong connection between education and
prolificacy and in this age where there is competition in every field and at every stage;
education is what will help an industry and subsequently a nation, to flourish.
4. Education helps us connect across borders: Digital education has helped achieve
this. Education has given students from across borders opportunities to connect and
communicate and work towards building a better future and a better world.
5. It gives empowerment: Education helps in empowerment i.e. to turn weakness into
strength. It gives us the confidence to stand for ourselves and for wrong things. It
improves our making decision capabilities, makes us more mobile and gives us access
to social networks. Many researchers have proven that in countries where women are
subjected to gender bias, education helped them stand up against marital violence,
improved their decision making capabilities and helped them take charge of their own
lives.
To quote Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, “books and our pens, they are the most powerful
weapons. One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world. Education is
the only solution. Education first.”
